Convicted (with accomplices) of the December 6, 1926 murder of Chicago cabinetmaker William Lindstrom as part of a life-insurance fraud scheme. He was the hired gunman paid $137.50 for the killing. He served time in Illinois prisons and was later released. He died at his home in Chicago in 1953.
