Convicted (with Henry Judd Gray) of the 1927 murder of her husband Albert Snyder in what became known as the "Dumbbell Murder." The couple staged a burglary after the killing. Snyder was executed in the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison on January 12, 1928. The case inspired the 1944 film Double Indemnity.
