Convicted (with Martha Beck) of multiple murders committed during a spree in which they met victims through lonely-hearts ads, gained their trust, then robbed and killed them. Executed in the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison on March 8, 1951 (Fernandez first, followed by Beck the same day).

Raymond Martinez Fernandez (born in Hawaii to Spanish parents) was one half of the "Lonely Hearts Killers" serial killer couple with Martha Beck. He used lonely-hearts club correspondence to target and defraud women across the United States in the 1940s.
