Convicted of first-degree murder for the 1978 arsenic poisoning of her boyfriend Stuart Taylor. She was the first woman executed in the United States after the 1976 reinstatement of the death penalty. Executed by lethal injection at Central Prison in Raleigh on November 2, 1984.
