Convicted of the 1927 murder of her employer, A.J. Mathis, in Pinal County. She was sentenced to death and hanged at the Arizona State Prison in Florence on February 21, 1930. The execution was botched (she was decapitated), leading Arizona to switch to the gas chamber for future executions.
