Convicted of the 1961 murder of his cellmate (he had previously been serving a life sentence for another murder). Sentenced to death and executed in the electric chair at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary on August 10, 1966. His case marked the end of an era for Oklahoma executions until 1990.
