Convicted by U.S. Army court-martial of the rape, beating, and robbery of a female War Department civilian employee on Guam. Escaped from the Schofield stockade before recapture. Hanged on April 22, 1947 at Execution Gulch behind Schofield Barracks - widely considered the last execution carried out in Hawaii.
