Convicted in March 1923 of the arsenic murder of her third husband, Frank Kupczyk. Investigators and prosecutors linked her to the poisoning deaths of at least two previous husbands and several neighbors (many of whom had named her as beneficiary on insurance policies). Sentenced to life imprisonment. She died while incarcerated in 1936.
