Criminal History (Public Record)

Convicted of first-degree murder for his role in the 1875 ambush killing of Tamaqua police officer Benjamin F. Yost. Along with James Boyle, McGehan carried out the shooting at the direction of others in the group. Executed June 21, 1877 at Mauch Chunk.
